Sally graduated from Memorial University in Newfoundland in 1977 with a Bachelor of Social Work, followed by five years working in Psychiatry and Family Medicine.  In 1985 she graduated with a Law Degree from the University of New Brunswick and was admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 1987. Sally practised law in a small firm, followed by a ten year term at The Law Society of New Brunswick where she was the Director of Continuing Legal Education.  For the past 27 years she has operated a successful practice as a Workplace Consultant in Atlantic Canada. She taught at the University of New Brunswick in the Arts Faculty (Sociology) for 22 years and for 8 years at UNB Law School (Dispute Resolution). As a contract academic instructor she encouraged students to fully embrace their skills and talents by providing skills based learning with theory.

Sally is a recognized Key Note speaker on Workplace Harassment and Respectful Workplaces.

She is well known for her sense of humour, joie de vivre and her ability to make people laugh while learning. She can be in a hard hat and construction boots one day and be in a boardroom or municipality the next day. Her examples are all real and very practical, and she wraps it up for you to take back to work.
